Plot: In the spring of 1945, as World War II is coming to a close, dignified strait-laced Englishman Roger Halyard lives on a South Sea atoll with his three daughters, Gloria, Hester and Violet, and the housekeeper, Thelma, who has raised the girls since childhood.
